CASE 1

  • Target: Inspection of the structural bonding line of the central wing structure (Falco UAV)
  • Service: SIP (Standard Inspection Process)
  • Technology: Phaseography┬« combined technique
  • Description: Inspection with NDI proprietary solution intended to find any relevant discontinuity within the main bonding line and around rivets. The thermographic inspection covered 100% of the central wing structure with the purpose of assessing any relevant damage of the CF outer skin and the first bonding layer. The Phased Array solution was implemented to crosscheck the thermal results along the main bonding line of the wing rib.

CASE 2

  • Target: NDI Inspection of the wing leading edge after crash (Mirach)
  • Service: SIP (Standard Inspection Process)
  • Technology: combined techniques (PA + TT + CT)
  • Description: Inspection with NDI combined techniques in order to find any relevant discontinuity due to an impact. The thermographic inspection covered 100% of the damaged structure and ultrasounds and computed tomography have been done where accessible. As a result we could assess the exact location and size of the defects to address the technicians during the reparation process.

CASE 3

  • Target: NDI Inspection of solar panels
  • Service: SIP (Standard Inspection Process)
  • Technology: Phaseography┬« combined technique
  • Description: Inspection with NDI proprietary solution intended to find any relevant discontinuity between carbon fibre laminate and honeycomb cells (sandwich structure). The thermographic inspection covered 100% of the structure and the ultrasound test was carried out to confirm the TT results.
